Doug Jones obtained his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College and attended graduate school at Columbia University. His education is fortified by experience in residential real estate and neighborhood economic development. Most recently, Doug was the Vice President of Economic Development at the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, where his primary responsibility was managing the Bed-Stuy Gateway Business Improvement District. Doug has held senior positions at the NYC Economic Development Corporation, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and Neighborhood Housing Services of Bedford-Stuyvesant. As the son of founding members of the Brownstoners of Bed-Stuy, Doug’s knowledge of real estate goes beyond the bricks-and-mortar of which houses are built; he understands that the soul of a neighborhood is its people, and is found in the places where they shop, where they socialize and where they worship. Doug is a proud resident and homeowner in the neighborhood and, as a tireless champion of Bed-Stuy, he takes pride in showing others the level of comfort, diversity, and opportunity to be found here and in the nearby communities of Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, and Crown Heights.
